Experience

Fastly - Staff Engineer/Team Lead (2022-2025)

• acted as Glitch's tech lead during product shutdown planning and execution as well as during two gaps in formal engineering management
• built integrations between Glitch's product and Fastly's core product offerings
• handled large-scale platform abuse
• worked with customer support to improve their processes & tooling

Glitch - Staff Engineer (2021-2022)

• helped prepare Glitch for acquisition
• helped do frontend redesign of a number of older features
• collaborated with a consultancy on "crisis engineering" scenarios, refreshed runbooks, and prepared for SRE work required pre-acquisition
• acquired by Fastly May 2022

Discogs - Engineering Lead (2020-2021)

• led a team of 3 engineers to formalize front-line bug report triage and engineering-wide documentation
• consulted with a committee of other tech leads to plan the future of technical architecture for the overall systems that make up Discogs' operations

Vox Media - Engineering Manager/Senior Engineer (2014-2020)

• supervised a team of four engineers formalizing the Developer Experience across dev, staging, and prod environments for all of engineering
• Established GraphQL at Vox Media, replacing the largest RESTful API
• Co-founded the Revenue Product team, where we built the initial version of the Concert ad marketplace and its associated tools
